Therapy FAQs:

  • As of October 1, 2023, I am in-network with Aetna & UnitedHealthcare insurance plans. I bill insurance through a company called Alma. Click here to estimate your out-of-pocket cost using insurance.

For all other insurance plans that I’m out-of-network for, you would pay me directly for the cost of the session. If you’d like to request reimbursement from your insurance company, I can provide a specialized invoice to you monthly.

Note: If you are deciding between self-pay or using insurance, here are a few things to consider. Insurance companies can audit and request your therapist’s progress notes. And insurance companies only pay for what they view as helping decrease mental health symptoms, so a diagnosis is required on your file.

  • I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri since 2001.

  • I completed my Mater’s (MA) in Clinical Psychology in 1997. So I have over 25 years of experience as a therapist in a variety of settings and many different forms of therapy.

  • Holistic counseling focuses on the whole person. Healing and self-care for all of you - mind, body, heart, and spirt.

I respect your pace, values, and resources, while also helping you access more than your mind to help with healing and personal growth.

  • I am a holistic psychotherapist that works through an IFS lens where all parts of you are welcome. I help you become a resource to yourself, no matter what life throws at you.

The modalities that have informed my work are Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Parts work, Mindful Self-Compassion, Bowen Family Systems, and Discernment Counseling.

  • I currently offer both options. I see clients on Wednesdays in Lee’s Summit MO.

I also offer online therapy sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays either via phone or video session.

Note: If you choose confidential video sessions, then you will need a secure internet connection and a computer/phone with a camera and microphone. Headphones are helpful if there is background noise.

  • I DON’T provide counseling for children, teens, or couples. I DO provide individual therapy for adults in Missouri, ages 18 and up. (Due to licensing regulations, I am not able to provide psychotherapy services to those outside of my state or country.)

  • I only schedule appointments with new clients after we’ve had an initial conversation to determine if we are a good fit. The best way to reach me is to schedule a complimentary, 15-minute discovery call with me. Click here to see my availability for introductory calls.

Are you interested in individual therapy?

Individual therapy for adults is available in person in Lee’s Summit and online for Missouri residents. Please schedule a free, introductory phone call with me so we can determine if we are a good fit.
